TIPS TO STOP SNORING....
The following tips will hopefully teach you how to stop snoring. It's important to remember that different remedies will have varying success depending on the individual.
1. If you are a smoker... SSTTOOOPPP smoking. Or at least avoid smoking right before you go to bed. Smoking causes inflamation and swelling of the throat.
2. Elevate your head by sleeping on a thicker pillow or multiple pillows will help reduce your snoring.
3. Avoid dairy products, which can cause mucus build-up right before you go to sleep.
4. Try following a regular sleep routine.
5. Try taking in a little bit of honey before sleeping.
EXTRA TIP:
A common remedy to prevent sleeping on your back is to sew a tennis ball to the back of your shirt; the discomfort of sleeping on the ball will prevent you from staying on your back.

DAY-CATION.... *FIELD TRIP*
It's been about a week since I've last blogged. NOT because I haven't had much to say.. I just get sidetracked sometimes. Voices In My Head speak so loud sometimes and they yell at me to go in so many different directions... Figured I'd sit still and have a woooosssaahh moment! So, what's been up on your end? It's hump day in the city and this week is taking FOREVER to go by. Maybe because I FINALLY have plans for the weekend other than too much work. I want an instant rewind of last weekend.
I hung out with my grandmother and was a biiiiggg kid. I had cereal for dinner and watched cartoons and infommercials while laying under her thick crocheted blanket.
Made it a DAY-CATION..... Simple get aways inside of hectic schedules.
When your days start running together and funds are low limiting the places you can go.. find ways to enjoy the simple things... A nice book... a good movie.. old school game night or just a NAP to recharge your batteries. It's gonna be a hectic year! Find ways to keep your sanity where it needs to be... OMG, OMG, OMG
OMG.....
5 days into the new year and I know I said I wouldn't make a New Year's Resolution... Who was I kidding??!!!??
I had a convo with my Hun that sparked a flame and raised the bar of expectation in 2010.
*DARNdarn darn*
I was told that "you NEVER stay the same. You either get better or get worse."
Not a new statement but those friendly reminders to slap you in the mouth is just like "OKAY, OKAY I'M READY! LET'S ROLL."
It's amazing how people can inspire you without even knowing it. Just observation of seeing someone being consistant and persistant in their own journey towards their personal mark of success may spark a flame in someone watching from a distance.
My grandfather, the late Rev. Jessie Lafayette, Sr. use to always tell me "Faith without works is dead." Pawpaw, I haven't forgotten. I still have faith the size of a mustard seed and believe I can move mountains and am praying for the strength to climb the mountains that may appear as obstacles but are only there for me to appreciate the view after taking the journey to the peak.
My personal obstacles, may not be your personal obstacles.. My struggles may not be your struggles... but one thing is for sure... We all have'em.
It's all in *how you handle them , that will determine if they handle you!*
Buckle up and enjoy the ride....
It's gonna be a long year... full of hard work and dedication like never before.
All the good and bad... I'm leaving in the past... Believing that God will mount me on wings of an eagle and take me to higher grounds. I believe the same for you... I sure hope you realize the only thing between you and your goal.... Is your fear of letting go and letting God do what He said he would do IF you trust Him....
Okay, I'm almost finished with work... I have to go get my oil changed, hit a meeting, hit the gym and get my nails done... "WHAT? I TOLD YOU SELF ENHANCEMENT WAS MY NEW YEAR'S RESOULTION"....

I'll Let You Decide....
My New Year's resolution is simple....
Usually it's the normal "get rid of 10pounds".... "make more money"....blah, blah, blah...
This year is another level of self-enhancement... Difference is YOU play a key factor in MY self-enhancement.
God sends people into your life for a season. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy some more than others.
I'm beyond the point of asking "Why people act the way they do!" I'm int the mind set of "IIWII"...."IT IS WHAT IT IS".... I can't change the way you choose to act... I have to accept that you can't change those who don't see flaws in their ways but points out glitches in everyone else. But I tell ya this... "I won't complain about the things I allow and/or accept."
To make this a lot easier on the both of us... "I'll let YOU decide!"
Ever hold of the golden rule? "Treat people the way you want to be treated?!" Yeah, that one!
I'm taking it for face value this year and from here on out!!!! I'm going to treat you... the way you treat me.. Only with a little extra... Treat me good... I'll treat you GREAT! Treat me wrong... WRONG IDEA!!!! It takes a lot of stress off my shoulders trying to see if you like this super good treatment day in and day out... It may not be your cup of tea and eventually God will remove you from my circle... but in the mean time.... I'm going to keep this stress free as possible. I just want to be happy. I want those around me happy. I wake up and DECIDE to have a great day even when stress is at an all time high! It's hard out here for everybody... no need for me to add that extra drama in your life... UNLESS I see that's what you like... "I'll let YOU decide"...

I'm here...But I'm not!!!!
It's the MONDAY after teh MADNESS!!!
Had a few days off for Christmas and I must say it was nice. Two days straight I woke up late!! 8a.m. and it wasn't half bad!
Now that I'm back at work bright and early things are flowing well. I'm as UP as I'm gonna be. It's safe to say "I'm here... but I'm not!"
Reading the news and saw an article that Kim Kardashian gets paid $10,000 for every endorsed tweet she sends out. WTH is THAT about?! I'm in the wrong business.... WHAT is she famous for again?! *snaps fingers* That's right... Ray J's putting his broads up on G-A-M-E.... SMH
"IIWII".... It Is What It Is....
Did you get the chance to watch those sorry games yesterday?? I know they say on any given day any team has a chance to win.... BUT UUUMMNNN.... The Saints and Giants were in the same mind frame as me "I'm here... but I'm not...."
Saints lost to the Bucs? And in over time!? After having a lead? I should have known something was up when they scored first!!!! NNNNNOOOOO!!!!
And who played for the Giants?! I won't even go into that thrashing.....
At least my Patriots and Steelers pulled it off....
I had a blast holding down Major Topics for my godfather Constable Brown yesterday...
Thanks to all of my guests that rolled through... My people show up and show out!!!

CHRISTMAS EVE.....
Goooood morning!
It's Christmas Eve and I'm lounging around the house. Not a lot on the agenda for the day. Spending time with Mom and Grandmother, finish baking these pies and cakes. I'm not even sure who we bake all of these things for, but if MawMaw wants to bake.. let her bake!
Anything good coming on tv tonight? I watched The Grinch That Stole Christmas last night!!!
Sat in front of the tube indian style like a kid, nibblin' on a pickle and waiting on the food to finish cooking. Somethings never change! lol
Oh well, let me roll out of bed and start my day....What's on your agenda? Catch up soon!

I know we shouldn't ask WHY?.......
Lord,
I know we shouldn't ask WHY certain things happen the way that they do and usually I take things in stride and say "it is what it is." But lately things have been eating away at me and I just wish I had the answers. WHY must so many suffer? WHY do so many feel they don't have to face the consequences for the things they do? WHY are innocent lives changed or even taken at the hands of those that are spinning out of control?
I'm tired of funerals... I'm tired of breaking news briefs of people being murdered...
When does this madness stop or at least calm down?
It's a sad day in my city and gets harder by the day....
Life is short and it happens fast.... Tell someone that you love them.... I LOVE YOU!

FEEEELING IT THIS MORNING!
This weekend was OFF THE CHAIN and I am feeeeling it this morning! OMG
After a full day at work...Friday night I partied like a rock star at my girl Juanita B's Christmas party... I'm convinced her neighbors are either the coolest people this side of the planet OR they all were at the party with us. House party turned Block party... I thought LaSt year was a good one... but THIS YEAR... SMH at how we cut up....
Left from there to the Varsity... The Benjy Davis Project really did a great concert. He made it snow on stage! lol
Ran across some old and new friends... #shoutout @cocorockstar and all 89,000 of her friends that were there with her... We still haven't figured a way to smuggle that Christmas tree out! lol
SATURDAY... after buggin my mom and grandmother allll day long... I hit the gym which has me in pain as I type.... *sigh* The studio was my playground with MT.... Once he got tired of me I went home to watch the rest of my MaGiC game and the SAINTS -vs- Cowboys... SMDH
13-1 I guess we really can't complain! lol
The Saturday Night Live Dance Party @ Vincent's started late cause we were determined to watch the rest of the game on the big screens... I'm sure they had a few Cowboy fans amongst us. They just knew that was NOT the time to say sumthin' bout their win! lol
Once the party got started it was indeeeed the "GROWN FOLKS PLAYGROUND".
No sense what-so-ever...
SUNDAY.... early a.m. service to get the day kicked off... You ever felt like the Pastor is talking about your business while you're sitting in the sermon?! One of those cases this weekend. ha
Karaoke Sunday was poppin @ Vincent's last night...
My family rolled through and cut up...
"Sunny D - Tweet- Chic O Stick- and Autumn" on the MIC = plenty of laughs... Between them AND Tev with the Raindrops "YOUTUBE FOOTAGE" is on the way!
Congratz to Delanor! He picked up the $100 last night and has qualified for the big cash!!!
The grand prize for $2,000 is Jan.3rd make plans to be there....

Party Ova Here!!!
It's a little after 7:45 and I'm at work waiting on The Benjy Davis Project to come to the station. They will be performing tonight @ The Varsity.
We're wrapping up the show with a live performance. I've never heard this band but I hope they're good. The engineer went through a lot of touble to set up for them and to keep my attention span for longer than 30 seconds is a MUST this early in the morning.
I'd hate to zone out giving a *blank stare*.... We'll see....

Be an encouragement...
Be an encouragement to someone today.
I had a random conversation with a co-worker of mine that I don't get the chance to hang with often. She's always on the go making moves and filtering systems to make improvements for many. In passing she took the time to speak "PEACE OF MIND" over my life and whispered a quick prayer for me.... *THANK YOU*
Go out of your way to be an encouragement to someone today. . .
Pick up the phone and call the one you haven't spoken to in a while but they crossed your mind...

Mrs. Woods Breaks Her Silence....
Mrs. Woods was spotted with her two young children enjoying lunch with some friends in Orlando. She spoke with OK! Magazine and said the children "are doing fine," despite all the commotion in their lives.
Onlookers agreed as they watched mom and kids enjoying lunch at a Thai restaurant, saying:
"They looked happy and healthy. It seemed like they had no idea there was any sort of problem."
They also mentioned Mrs. Woods "looked bone-thin."
*QUESTIONS*
When have you seen her and she wasn't bone-thin?
Of course the kids appeared to be fine...they're 2yrs and a few mnths old.... Did you expect them to sit around sipping on similac lattes yellin... "Mom, you know dad really is a loser! When are we getting that clown from around us?"
That's NNOOOTTT what I wanted to hear from Elin Woods....
Tell me how you REALLY feel about that 14 scallywagg havin buster....
Tell me how you can't stand the site of him!
Tell me what you said while you were crackin' that golf club up-side his head and bustin his lip!

Sippin On That Herb....
Gooood morning!
It's a little after 7:11 and I'm basically through with my day... Sitting in the studio giving Don a hard time. He'll be alright. I have a case of the "Tuesdays" and everybody is on my radar!!!
I tell ya what... if he cuts this song short again I'm gonna throw a young temper tantrum! lol
This tea isn't helping my case of the "Tuesdays" much... think I grabbed the wrong kind.
Sure hope it's NOT the DIETERS tea.... *TROUBLE* if it is...
That's what I get for taking them out of the box to put them in cute little jars...
Note to self: "Hey Stupid! The labels are there for a reason!" I get the DUH Award for the day!
What movies are on tonight? Lifetime marathon with me anyone???? I'll grab the popcorn on the way home....
