I'll Let You Decide....

My New Year's resolution is simple....
Usually it's the normal "get rid of 10pounds".... "make more money"....blah, blah, blah...
This year is another level of self-enhancement... Difference is YOU play a key factor in MY self-enhancement.
God sends people into your life for a season. I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy some more than others.
I'm beyond the point of asking "Why people act the way they do!" I'm int the mind set of "IIWII"...."IT IS WHAT IT IS".... I can't change the way you choose to act... I have to accept that you can't change those who don't see flaws in their ways but points out glitches in everyone else. But I tell ya this... "I won't complain about the things I allow and/or accept."
To make this a lot easier on the both of us... "I'll let YOU decide!"
Ever hold of the golden rule? "Treat people the way you want to be treated?!" Yeah, that one!
I'm taking it for face value this year and from here on out!!!! I'm going to treat you... the way you treat me.. Only with a little extra... Treat me good... I'll treat you GREAT! Treat me wrong... WRONG IDEA!!!! It takes a lot of stress off my shoulders trying to see if you like this super good treatment day in and day out... It may not be your cup of tea and eventually God will remove you from my circle... but in the mean time.... I'm going to keep this stress free as possible. I just want to be happy. I want those around me happy. I wake up and DECIDE to have a great day even when stress is at an all time high! It's hard out here for everybody... no need for me to add that extra drama in your life... UNLESS I see that's what you like... "I'll let YOU decide"...

It's the MONDAY after teh MADNESS!!!
Had a few days off for Christmas and I must say it was nice. Two days straight I woke up late!! 8a.m. and it wasn't half bad!
Now that I'm back at work bright and early things are flowing well. I'm as UP as I'm gonna be. It's safe to say "I'm here... but I'm not!"
Reading the news and saw an article that Kim Kardashian gets paid $10,000 for every endorsed tweet she sends out. WTH is THAT about?! I'm in the wrong business.... WHAT is she famous for again?! *snaps fingers* That's right... Ray J's putting his broads up on G-A-M-E.... SMH

Did you get the chance to watch those sorry games yesterday?? I know they say on any given day any team has a chance to win.... BUT UUUMMNNN.... The Saints and Giants were in the same mind frame as me "I'm here... but I'm not...."
Saints lost to the Bucs? And in over time!? After having a lead? I should have known something was up when they scored first!!!! NNNNNOOOOO!!!!
And who played for the Giants?! I won't even go into that thrashing.....
At least my Patriots and Steelers pulled it off....
I had a blast holding down Major Topics for my godfather Constable Brown yesterday...

CHRISTMAS EVE.....

Goooood morning!

    It's Christmas Eve and I'm lounging around the house. Not a lot on the agenda for the day. Spending time with Mom and Grandmother, finish baking these pies and cakes. I'm not even sure who we bake all of these things for, but if MawMaw wants to bake.. let her bake!

Anything good coming on tv tonight? I watched The Grinch That Stole Christmas last night!!!

Sat in front of the tube indian style like a kid, nibblin' on a pickle and waiting on the food to finish cooking. Somethings never change! lol

Oh well, let me roll out of bed and start my day....What's on your agenda? Catch up soon!

I know we shouldn't ask WHY?.......

Lord, 

        I know we shouldn't ask WHY certain things happen the way that they do and usually I take things in stride and say "it is what it is." But lately things have been eating away at me and I just wish I had the answers. WHY must so many suffer? WHY do so many feel they don't have to face the consequences for the things they do? WHY are innocent lives changed or even taken at the hands of those that are spinning out of control? 

I'm tired of funerals... I'm tired of breaking news briefs of people being murdered...

When does this madness stop or at least calm down?

 It's a sad day in my city and gets harder by the day.... 

Life is short and it happens fast.... Tell someone that you love them.... I LOVE YOU!

FEEEELING IT THIS MORNING!

This weekend was OFF THE CHAIN and I am feeeeling it this morning! OMG
After a full day at work...Friday night I partied like a rock star at my girl Juanita B's Christmas party... I'm convinced her neighbors are either the coolest people this side of the planet OR they all were at the party with us. House party turned Block party... I thought LaSt year was a good one... but THIS YEAR... SMH at how we cut up....
Left from there to the Varsity... The Benjy Davis Project really did a great concert. He made it snow on stage! lol
Ran across some old and new friends... #shoutout @cocorockstar and all 89,000 of her friends that were there with her... We still haven't figured a way to smuggle that Christmas tree out! lol
SATURDAY... after buggin my mom and grandmother allll day long... I hit the gym which has me in pain as I type.... *sigh* The studio was my playground with MT.... Once he got tired of me I went home to watch the rest of my MaGiC game and the SAINTS -vs- Cowboys... SMDH
13-1 I guess we really can't complain! lol
The Saturday Night Live Dance Party @ Vincent's started late cause we were determined to watch the rest of the game on the big screens... I'm sure they had a few Cowboy fans amongst us. They just knew that was NOT the time to say sumthin' bout their win! lol
Once the party got started it was indeeeed the "GROWN FOLKS PLAYGROUND".
No sense what-so-ever...
SUNDAY.... early a.m. service to get the day kicked off... You ever felt like the Pastor is talking about your business while you're sitting in the sermon?! One of those cases this weekend. ha

My family rolled through and cut up...

It's a little after 7:45 and I'm at work waiting on The Benjy Davis Project to come to the station. They will be performing tonight @ The Varsity.
We're wrapping up the show with a live performance. I've never heard this band but I hope they're good. The engineer went through a lot of touble to set up for them and to keep my attention span for longer than 30 seconds is a MUST this early in the morning.
I'd hate to zone out giving a *blank stare*.... We'll see....
